The work week is over! What better way to start a weekend than to have a little cozy fun (lite mysigt) together with your family and friends. However, it is not rare that as we connect with our loved ones, our work follows us to the dining room table and even to our favorite sofa. Occasionally, we need a reminder to be present. Maybe the Chinese favorite Long Jing tea can help? There is a belief that it awakens your spirit.
Does the bitterness of green tea scare you? Don’t worry, Tarantula’s author Maja Milanovic in collaboration with Min Systers Tehus wrote a a little tea musings “Releasing Stories of Bitter Teas” on demystifying the bitterness of green tea with the help of a little bit of myth, playwriting and facts. Today's Fredagsmys is brought to you by the sisters, Pernilla and Maria, behind the independent tea company, Min Systers Tehus.
A Cup of Long Jing Tea
Put two pinches of the tea leaves in a glass.
Pour 80 degrees Celsius hot water over the leaves.
Leave it for 5 -10 minutes to let the tea leaves sink to the bottom.
Lift the glass, look at the beautiful green color, smell the fresh odor and take a sip. Take another long sip and enjoy.
Now, the time has arrived to leave work behind, kick back and feel a little cozy!
Happy weekend everyone!
Thank you Min Systers Tehus for the inspiration!
