Kickstarting the New Year Lovingly
Wake Up in the New Year with a few words from Tarantula: Authors and Art's Writers and Artists
We start this new year with taking time for ourselves, journaling, reading, getting inspired, taking walks in nature, and just being, which we also wish for you.
Setting New Year’s resolutions seems insignificant and shallow as we usually quickly forget about them, however, this year we encourage you to listen to your bodies, your intuition, and create mindful intentions, however big or small you want them to be. Instead of setting personal goals, why not focus on relationships with the people in your lives, work colleagues, collaborators, Nature itself. Focus on being generous and kind to each other. Focus on listening to each other’s stories and experiences. Fill your Instagram stories with your relationships and people you admire. Wake up each morning in awe of the world that stretches in front of your window, the Earth that supports you.
We start the New Year with the wise words of our contributor and chocolate sommelier, Sanja Vladović, who gifted us with her whimsical article Down the Rabbit Hole of Chocolate Ceremonies, which reminds us not to live life blindly, but with an awareness and love for this thing called life.
“If you believe that both people and Nature, which gifted us with cacao are respected in the process, you become part of the change, you are contributing to the improvement of Life on Earth and you are growing as a person one sip of hot chocolate at the time, no need for a bunch of new year’s resolutions, just the a cup of well-respected hot chocolate drank mindfully and with intention.”

Let your dreams this year be as wild as they can be, do something new without expectations or focusing on the final destination, don’t ask for permissions or approvals, invite collaborations, play, use art for inspiration, create the world you want to live in, forget and forgive and reach out to one another lovingly.
This is your life.
