Save the Date! + Exciting News

and a plea for help for the first PRINT ISSUE

Dear readers,

We have some wonderful news that we would love to share with you! We were accepted to participate this May at the Supermarket Art Fair in Stockholm, Sweden!

Supermarket is an annual international art fair for artist-run galleries and other artists’ initiatives. The art fair was founded and has been arranged by artists. The goal of Supermarket is to exhibit artist-run initiatives from all over the world, create opportunities for new networks and make the artist-run scene accessible to a range of audiences.

This will give us at Tarantula: Authors And Art an opportunity to step outside of the digital world and present our magazine in the real world, meet galleries and artists, which we will be able to interview and introduce to you. Being accepted gave us the opportunity to slowly move towards our other goals and dreams.

We were given a small booth and we have some ideas of how we would like to present ourselves to the world.

• a virtual gallery of artists that we had until now, that the audience will be able to see on their phones by reading a QR code

• A few works of artists that we already featured

• A FIRST ISSUE OF OUR PRINT MAGAZINE

We are so excited to work on our print issue! We  already envision you taking our first issue on your vacation, or just sitting in your favorite sofa, relaxing your eyes from the blue light, having a cup of coffee or tea, sharing it with your friends.

As we have so far been a digital published magazine supported only by our readers, a friend of the magazine suggested that we reach out to you, our dear subscribers, family and friends. We need a little bit of help to publish the magazine and to set up our booth at the SuperMarket Art Festival.

Our goal is to reach €5,000 or 50,000kr by March 15th. Instead of starting a Kickstarter campaign where they take a percentage of the donated money, we thought we would write to you directly.

This is how you can help if you would like to support us:

• If you have been reading our digital magazine for a while as a free subscriber please become an annual paid subscriber. You will get all the bonus materials that our paid subscribers receive, a thank you and a mention of your name in the 1st issue as well as live updates from the Supermarket Art Fair.

• If you are already a paid subscriber, please consider gifting a subscription  to someone you know would appreciate it. Your name will also be mentioned as one of the publishers in the print issue.

• If you would like to give us a smaller donation (€200 + or 2000kr +) please contact us at milanovic.maja@yahoo.com for further information on how to send the money. In addition to mentioning your name in our magazine,  we would like to thank you with an: Online Chocolate Tasting to Kickstart Your Creativity; an experiment that we made last year that even made it onto the pages of a Croatian newspaper and podcast. It will be led by our writer and chocolate expert Sanja Vladovic of Tamam Chocolates and attended by some of the other Tarantula: Authors And Art crew.
