Welcome to my first post on Tarantula!
If you told me just a week ago that I would be creating a publication on Substack, I would say …. um, what’s substack?
So what happened? Possibly a combination of getting the first covid vaccine, birthday blues now left behind as well as the Lunar eclipse, all of which shook me up, released the energy that I spent on the invisible threat and opened me up for a new adventure.
Maybe I am a little bit braver, I don’t know.
Maybe I received a bit of encouragement from the side from some of you who followed my postings as a guest blogger on Min Syster’s Te hus. Maybe my conversation with my son after the big music spectacle in Europe, Eurovision, left me with nowhere to publish my thoughts. Maybe my need to collaborate and be able to create instantly, something that writing films and plays never allow. (I am in no way giving up on dramatic arts yet!) Maybe because I have many talented friends that I want to collaborate with and share with you.
But it’s not just about me.
So what is Tarantula?
A publication that weaves stories (fiction and non fiction, and those of the experimental kind) and art together with snippets of inspiration and whatever randomness comes our way. A conversation between different generations.
Artist of the Month
Every month we will feature an artist whose works will adorn the featured stories and at the end of the month, we will bring you an interview with the artist.
