Tarantula: Authors And Arts Featured Artist of April
On The Art field With Ukrainian artist Iryna Maksymova
I am an artist from Ukraine, but currently based in Portugal due to the Russian invasion of my country.Â
In my paintings I always tried to convey that people have to be kinder with open, bright hearts to be able to create a big, happy future. However, now all my paintings are about victory and that good will triumph over evil; and only after that we can continue to talk about peace in the whole world.
- Iryna Maksymova
As we mentioned in the introduction at the beginning of April, this month at Tarantula: Authors and Art, we are doing things a little bit different. In hope to bring some light to the war and help preserve their culture in the midst of destruction, we decided to have two featured artists from Ukraine. Thus, dear readers, in the midst of this month, we are happy to introduce to you one more artist, a young artist hailing from the small town Kolomyia in the Western part of Ukraine near the Carpathian Mountains. Dear readers, enjoy the work of Iryna Maksymova.
In honour of our Ukrainian artists, we will donate all new yearly paid subscriptions that we get during the month of April to help Ukraine.
If you currently can’t help financially, help us spread the word! In addition to following Iryna’s powerful work on Tarantula: Authors and Arts’ Substack page, follow us on Instagram for more of her art @tarantula_authors_and_art
Absolutely spectacular powerful painter who maintains je ne sais quoi. Very nice to see her in the spotlight.
